It was in the early 2011, when the Restaurant
and Hospitality segment interested Mrs.LalithaRao Sahib so much that,
she went on to study the market and understand various factors affecting
the existence and growth of the segment. Dependency on chefs and
shortage of skilled labour, consistency and management of quality and
taste, operational wastage percentages and others restricted the
multiplication of growth and outlets in catering to the growing demand
for vegetarian food. As a result of the study, she came out with an
innovative Indian veg cuisine QSR idea.
Café Udupi Ruchi - “World’s First Tech-Abled
Indian Veg Cuisine QSR” was thus launched. It is free from dependency of
skilled manpower and operates totally on Easy-To-Cook mixes developed
in-house by Sri Family, based on three principles, Right Dilution, Right
Temperature and Right Time. All the mixes used are 100% natural, free
from artificial preservatives, colours and flavours. The restaurant
offers wide range of South Indian, North Indian and Continental Fusion
cuisines from breakfast to dinner along with delicious Udupi
specialities, which are not offered in other restaurants. Café Udupi
Ruchi recruits manpower from rural areas and provides skill training
program to enable them prepare all the food products and operate the
restaurants on the similar lines of other global QSRs’. Mrs LalithaRao
Sahib is delighted that she has put her efforts in making the "Art of
cooking to Science of Cooking". Appreciating the unique concept and
future of the brand, it was awarded as the “Most Innovative QSR of the
Year 2017” at the recently held Restaurants India South 2017 Awards.
The brand is built based on Management by
Objective (MBO) and SOP driven systems which uphold hygiene, quality,
taste and service at its best levels. The entire management is handled
through the cloud network which provides Mix-to-Plate connectivity,
enhancing the effectiveness of the process, streamlining variations and
minimizing wastage, thus being a VFM for every guest who walks into any
of the state of the art restaurants of Café Udupi Ruchi.
Café Udupi Ruchi is highly scalable through
its 4 formats of restaurants wiz Express (kiosk), Express Plus (extended
kiosk), Café (dine-in) and On-The-Go (highway dine-in) is already
operational at Bengaluru, Avinashi, Delhi & NCR, Lucknow, Ranchi,
Pune and opening at other locations shortly.
The production facility is equipped with
dedicated R&D centre, in-house quality labs, sophisticated
technology and enthusiastic staff to cater to the café’s growth.

generation products like pasta, soups, milkshakes, etc., under the
