Job Summary
- Welcome passengers on board and directing them to their seats.
- Providing Information and safety procedures to the passengers
- Checking all seat belts and galleys are secure prior to take-off.
- Making announcements on behalf of the pilot and answering questions during the flight
- Serving meals and refreshments;
- Selling duty-free goods and advising passengers of any allowance restrictions in force at their destination;
- Reassuring passengers and ensuring that they follow safety procedures correctly in emergency situations.
- Providing first aid facility
Responsibilities and Duties
1. The ground staff are responsible for passenger service duties, which include the manning of check-in counters for departing passengers, as well as arrival and departure gates.
2. To ensure passenger comfort, the ground crew is responsible for all cabin services.
3. Passenger service agents are hired by airlines to attend to customers before, after, or between flights.
4. Answering questions and assisting passengers with various needs.
5. Taking reservations.
6. Issuing tickets.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Communication: This skill means the ability of listening, writing and speaking effectively. For Airport ground staff position, this skill is a very critical element which contributes for business success.
- Planning/Organizing: Supervisor is not only to inspect and mange work but also to make the project, estimate, scheme in detail, deploy the plan and finish it before dead line. One important requirement for this skill is the efficiency means that meets the goal-setting.
