Process chemists will be required to divide their time between the laboratory and the plant. A blend of theoretical and practical knowledge is required. The candidate will be responsible to develop plans and design and run experiments to test their suitability for large-scale use. Must be capable to troubleshoot existing processes by using design of experiments to change multiple variables simultaneously and identify acceptable ranges for all operational parameters. Use simulation to analyze extensive data sets and determine how changes in process affect the final product and Maintain familiarity with, regulations including current good manufacturing practices and extraction hygiene plans. Can improve existing processes to reduce cost and increase reliability, purity & safety and use a variety of analytical methods to monitor reaction processes.
