Responsibilities and Duties
Maintain a high Standard of food presentation and quality of product.
Prepares, Cuts, Portions food for kitchen efficiently and economically.
Ensures hygiene, cleanliness and tidiness in the all areas of the kitchen including storage, cool rooms, Freezers, dry stores.
Support the DCDP, CDP and Sous Chef in the overall smooth operation of the kitchen ensuring prompt service at all times.
Preparation, presentation and storage of poultry/ game dishes
Defrost, handle and store Meat and meat cuts
Ensure that customers are served well and effectively.
Checking the fruits, vegetables and meat items as per standard of the hotel.
Doing the menu planning with kitchen team.
Responsible for stock control, purchasing and menu planning
Ability to quickly identify and resolve problems
Able to work overtime at short notice if required.
Maintain a safe and secure working environment.
Prepare food items for customers as requested, including special requests, in a timely and consistent manner
