CSIR Recruitment Process

CSIR conducts various selection procedures for each job role. The selection procedure and criteria will be posted in the official notification.  For most of the job roles, the selection procedure is of this pattern: Prelims Examination, Mains Examination, and Direct Interview. 

The postings will be purely based on the scores secured in the examinations. Applicants qualifying the prelims exam will be eligible to attend the mains exam. A list of shortlisted candidates will move on to the next phase i.e. interview round, from which the qualifying candidates are directly placed to multiple open positions with CSIR.

    The ideal candidate for JRF should possess MSc or any equivalent qualification with at least 55% marks in aggregate along with NET.
